Everything you need to know about booking and visiting our studios
No — please do not arrive early to your booking time.
Our studios are often booked 5–6 sessions per day, usually back-to-back. This means there is almost always another client using the studio right up until your scheduled start time, and another client arriving immediately after your session ends.
Because of this, your booking window is your total time in the studio, including:
Please make sure to budget enough time at the beginning and end of your booking to set up and fully reset the studio before leaving.
Yes! There's a video for that.
Click the link below to watch our full video library, where we walk through how to access the studio, where to park, how the doors work, and many other helpful tips.
You can watch all the videos or search for the specific topic you need.
At our Flagship (Powdersville) location, the space can be used for photo, video, or events.
At our Taylors Mill location, the studio is designed for photo and video sessions only, and events are not permitted.
At our Flagship location, bookings with under 50 guests require no additional approval.
Events over 50 guests are still allowed, but we may reach out if we have any logistical concerns.
The maximum capacity at the Flagship location is 150 people.
Yes. Your booking time includes everything — setup, shooting, teardown, and resetting the space.
Because sessions are often scheduled back-to-back, it's very important that you leave the studio fully reset before your session ends so the next guest can begin on time.
Yes, absolutely.
The only requirement is that the total number of people attending the session is accurately listed in the booking intake form.
Yes — you are welcome to bring any lighting, equipment, or props you'd like.
Just make sure you leave enough time to reset the studio before your booking ends.
Yes.
Our Flagship location is especially ideal for video production, as it is larger and sound-treated.
Video production is also allowed at Taylors Mill, but it may not be the best option for certain productions since the building is not soundproof and a train occasionally passes nearby.
At the Flagship location — yes.
The space was designed with soundproofing in mind, making it much better suited for video production and interviews.
At Taylors Mill — no. Because it is located inside a historic mill building, outside noise (including a nearby train) may occasionally be heard.
Yes — both studios have blackout options.
At the Flagship location, we have 100% blackout remote shades that descend directly from the window frames.
At Taylors Mill, blackout is achieved using blackout curtains on rods.
At the Flagship location, there is a dedicated hair and makeup prep area.
At Taylors Mill, there is a small back room with mirrors that works well for simple getting-ready setups, but it is not a full open prep area like the Flagship location.
Both studios include free furniture and props with every booking, and both offer backdrops and lighting rentals.
However, our Flagship location offers additional rentals, including:
These items are not available at the Taylors Mill location.
At Taylors Mill, parking is located in the main parking lot shared by the mill complex. You may want to meet your clients there and guide them to the studio entrance.
At the Flagship location, guests can park directly in front of the studio entrance, making load-in very convenient.
Yes, you can.
However, you are financially responsible for any damages or messes caused by your dog. If damages occur, the card associated with your booking may be charged to cover the costs.
If you're looking for strong natural light, around noon is usually the best time to book.
During the summer months, the sun's path reduces the amount of direct windowpane light. During fall through spring, you'll see more of the dramatic windowpane lighting.
Both studios include diffusion and blackout options so you can modify the light as needed.
Unfortunately, no.
Because we usually have back-to-back bookings, we cannot shift session times.
You are welcome to arrive anytime after your session starts, but the end time will remain the same.
It is very unlikely, since we usually have another session booked immediately after yours.
However, you can text our customer service number (do not call) to check if the studio is available.
If you don't hear back in time, please assume the answer is no and plan to leave by your scheduled end time.
You can reschedule or cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your session start time.
To do this, scroll to the bottom of your booking confirmation email and click "Change/Cancel Appointment."
Within 48 hours of your session, bookings can no longer be changed or canceled per the Booking Agreement.
The reschedule/cancellation window closes 48 hours before your session start time.
After that point, changes are no longer allowed according to the terms of the Booking Agreement.
To change your booking length, you will need to cancel your current booking and rebook with the correct number of hours.
After canceling, your refund will typically appear in 3–5 business days.
Once a cancellation is processed, our customer service team will manually issue the refund.
Refunds typically appear in your bank account within 3–5 business days.
You should receive two emails when booking:
All access information is inside the Appointment Confirmation email.
If you can't find it, please check your Spam or Junk folders.
No — you already paid when you booked.
The invoice is simply a receipt for your records.
If the studio is left unclean or not reset properly, a $250 cleaning fee will be charged to the card on file.
If the condition of the studio negatively affects the next client's booking, additional charges may apply to compensate for their session.
Of course — and we encourage it.
Many of our clients use the studio for professional branding, marketing, and commercial work.
Absolutely.
Brands, agencies, and businesses regularly use the studio for content creation, product photography, and marketing campaigns.
In most situations, the Flagship location is the more convenient and versatile option.
It is:
However, the Taylors Mill location offers a unique historic mill aesthetic, which many photographers love for its character and texture.
Both spaces are excellent — they simply provide different creative environments.
Yes — extremely.
When designing the Flagship location, our motto during construction was:
"Build a studio where it's almost impossible to take a bad photo."
The lighting and layout were intentionally designed to make it easy for beginners while still serving professional photographers.
We do not offer tours for standard bookings.
However, we provide plenty of photos and videos to help you understand the space before reserving.
If you are planning a full-day event at the Flagship location, a brief venue tour may be arranged.
